Sinn Fein launch North West Regional CharterPublished: 25 March, 2007
Sinn Féin's Donegal North East representative Councillor Padraig Mac Lochlainn has launched a North West Regional Charter in Derry. Also present at the launch were Sinn Féin MEP Bairbre de Brun and Foyle MLA Martina Anderson. The Charter was unveiled at a press conference in Sinn Féin's Derry Headquarters & Foyle Constituency Service at Rath Mor Business Park , Bligh's Lane, Derry.
The North West Charter is a regional development document that seeks to develop the North West of Ireland as 'fully integrated'. It was prepared by Sinn Fein's All-Ireland and European Departments. The document makes the case that future prosperity for Donegal and Derry, indeed the prosperity of the North West region, is premised upon full integration of the entire area.
The North West Charter offers a blueprint on how the region can become fully integrated in terms of: Regional Government, Public Services, Spatial Planning, Economy and Education, Health, the Strategic use of EU and government funds, and more. Back to top--> |
