Speaking ahead of a meeting of the North South Ministerial Council tomorrow Donegal Sinn Féin Senator Pearse Doherty called on the Council to push ahead with a proposal to locate 30 jobs for Foras na Gaeilge in Goath Dobhair in Donegal. Senator Doherty said the proposal was made in 2003 and is now only awaiting agreement from the North South Ministerial Council. Read full article

Sinn Féin Education Minister in the North of Ireland, Caitríona Ruane MLA and the Minister for Education and Science, Mary Hanafin TD and today jointly launched Foras na Gaeilge's scheme, 'GLEO' at St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra. The primary aim of the scheme is to recognise best practice in the promotion of oral Irish in creative and innovative ways in English-medium primary and post-primary schools on the island of Ireland.
