McGimpsey and Harney challenged over failure to discuss northwest satellite cancer centre

Sinn Féin West Tyrone MP Pat Doherty has formally written to six county Health Minister Michael McGimpsey and his 26 county counterpart Mary Harney calling upon them to prioritise the establishment of a satellite cancer centre in the northwest part of Ireland after he learned that the issue has not even featured in any discussions between both Ministers. Sinn Féin to investigate north/south sporting inequalities

Sinn Féin MLA Paul Maskey, a member of the Assembly Culture, Arts and Leisure Committee, has written to over 60 sporting bodies across the island of Ireland including the GAA and Ulster Rugby Union to look at the inequalities facing players and sporting organisations, on issues such as VAT and taxation, as a result of two different systems north and south. Sinn Fein arrange Strabane/Donegal cross border roads meeting

Strabane Disrtict Council Chairperson, Sinn Féin Cllr Gerard Foley has arranged a meeting between councillors and Roads Service officials from Strabane and Donegal so that a joint approach can be established to tackle the poor state of the cross-border roads network between both areas, and particularly between the Derg and Stranorlar Electoral areas.
